Living by the Code: How Bitcoin Led Me to Pursue a Lifestyle in Full Stack Development

In 2019, For me to fully understand what Bitcoin was, I knew that I’d need to understand computer code. When the pandemic was in full effect, I had time to study my first language, C++. Bitcoin is primarily written in C++, so that’s where I wanted to start. It was recommended that I study Python as well. HTML also seemed practical in case I needed to build a website.

List of Full Stack Dev Languages I plan on learning in the next 2-8 years. The Languages above the line take precedent over the ones below, as they are usually the prerequisites to become some sort of Full Stack Developer.

During this time, I also discovered that you could contribute to the Bitcoin source code. I thought that was cool and had ambitions to contribute. Even if no rewards were given, volunteering to improve the Bitcoin source code would certainly be an accomplishment in my eyes.

With all this in mind, I figured I might as well become a full stack developer. That’s basically what I’m doing over the next 2-8 years.

I have my own Learning method that will help you become literate with programming languages in 6 months or less (That is if you have the time to study!)

I should be able to master one language every 6 months. To be a full stack web developer, you need to write in 4 or 5 languages collectively on the front end and back end, so the requirements are pretty straightforward. It just takes a little time.

See you on the other side.
