How to Connect your iPad to a UAG Keyboard (Bluetooth) + Lite Review

The UAG Rugged Bluetooth Keyboard with Trackpad is designed for durability and performance. With a non-slip exterior that withstands 8-foot drops, it provides reliable protection. The backlit keys offer a laptop-like typing experience, and multi-touch trackpad supports gestures like swiping and pinching. The adjustable magnetic stand provides four viewing angles, and the rechargeable battery lasts up to 6 months. Plus, it includes a slot for the Apple Pencil. The hardware configuration is fairly simple.

Overall Grade: 76 (C+)

The UAG Rugged Bluetooth Keyboard with Trackpad is a convenient accessory for iPad users, but it has its limitations. The keyboard is rather small, and the trackpad does not move as fluidly as one might like. Overall, I give the product a C+.

Grades

Hardware Setup: 5/5

  • Very fluid and easy setup for your device.

Actual Use Case: 2.6/5

  • Works fine, but the trackpad lags, and the keyboard is smaller than preferred.
  • The magnetic stand can also be a pain to set up at times, as I find myself constantly trying to make sure the iPad is stable during initial setup.

Follow these steps and you will be set up in no time!

1. Turn on the keyboard and Ipad.

2. Turn on your UAG keyboard and Hold the Bluetooth buttons down for 3 seconds and release. The Power Button Should be blinking on the Keyboard.

3. Now go to your iPad and click on the Settings application

    4. Click on the Bluetooth tab at the top left hand corner

    5. You will see the UAG keyboard is available for connection. Click on it

    6. The iPad will request a 4 digit code. Enter the code on the keyboard.

Congratulations! Now you can use your keyboard to perform work tasks!
