Italian Bank Banca Sella Introduces Bitcoin Trading

Italy’s Banca Sella, one of the oldest financial institutions in the country, has officially introduced Bitcoin trading services through its mobile banking platform, Hype.

This move marks a significant milestone in the integration of traditional banking with cryptocurrency, providing more than 1.3 million customers direct access to Bitcoin trading without needing external exchanges. The service is currently in beta testing for HypePlus customers but is expected to expand to all users in the coming days.

Customers will be able to manage their Bitcoin transactions securely within a regulated environment, and Banca Sella has implemented tiered trading caps to ensure a balanced trading experience.

As Banca Sella continues to innovate, other financial institutions may follow suit, further integrating cryptocurrencies into the mainstream financial ecosystem.
