Bitfarms, a global leader in Bitcoin mining, has recently unveiled a virtual tour of its state-of-the-art hydro-cooled mining site located in Paraguay.
The tour showcases the company’s advanced 50 MW facility in Paso Pe, which integrates cutting-edge hydro-cooled mining technology, a strategic move that underscores Bitfarms’ focus on sustainability and efficiency.
By utilizing the country’s abundant hydroelectric power, Bitfarms aims to harness Paraguay’s favorable climate and low energy costs to boost its Bitcoin mining operations. The mining site will feature 1,920 of MicroBT’s hydro-cooled M53S+ miners, delivering a maximum hashrate of 675 PH/s at an industry-leading efficiency of 28.5 W/TH.
Founded in 2017, Bitfarms operates 11 farms across four countries: Canada, the U.S., Paraguay, and Argentina. As a vertically integrated company, it manages everything from electrical engineering and installation to onsite technical repair.
The Paraguay facility, which is expected to be fully operational by Q1 2024, will not only support the local energy grid but also leverage the country’s vast hydroelectric surplus to ensure the efficient and environmentally responsible operation of its Bitcoin mining rigs.
