The recent surge in Bitcoin’s value has led to a significant increase in the number of crypto millionaires. According to the latest data, the number of Bitcoin millionaires has more than doubled over the past year, rising by 111% to reach 85,400 individuals.

This dramatic growth has been fueled by Bitcoin’s rally, which has seen the cryptocurrency’s value climb by approximately 45% in 2024, following the introduction of spot Bitcoin ETFs in the US.

In total, the population of crypto millionaires worldwide has grown to 172,300, up from 88,200 last year. This surge is not limited to millionaires; the number of crypto billionaires also increased, with six new billionaires minted, five of whom owe their fortunes to Bitcoin​.

The report highlights that the broader adoption of Bitcoin ETFs and the influx of institutional capital have been key drivers of this rally. The total market value of cryptocurrencies has jumped to $2.3 trillion, marking an 89% increase from the previous year​.

Experts point out that this trend underscores Bitcoin’s dominant position in the crypto market, particularly among long-term investors seeking large holdings.
