“The banks are not interested in us as a people. They are interested in our money. And we must be careful not to let them take advantage of us.”
– Malcolm X, Civil Rights Activist

The family of civil rights leader Malcolm X has filed a $100 million lawsuit against the FBI, CIA, and New York Police Department, alleging these agencies were complicit in his 1965 assassination.
The lawsuit, submitted in Manhattan federal court, contends that the agencies were aware of and involved in the assassination plot but failed to prevent his death.
Attorney Ben Crump, representing Malcolm X’s daughters, expressed hope that federal officials would review the case to address and rectify past wrongdoings.

The lawsuit seeks to uncover the extent of the agencies’ knowledge and complicity in the assassination plot against Malcolm X.
Malcolm X, a prominent Black civil rights leader and former Nation of Islam spokesperson, was assassinated on February 21, 1965, in New York City.
Although three Nation of Islam members were convicted, two were exonerated in 2021, leading to renewed scrutiny of the case.
The lawsuit aims to reveal the truth and seek justice for Malcolm X’s family, who have long sought answers about his death.
The family asserts significant and irreversible damage caused by the alleged conspiracy and cover-up, emphasizing the need for accountability and transparency.
