The Bitcoin White Paper, originally authored by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008, has been meticulously translated into Arabic, ensuring both technical accuracy and linguistic precision.
This translation aims to make the foundational document of Bitcoin accessible to Arabic-speaking audiences, thereby fostering a deeper understanding of cryptocurrency principles.
In January 2019, during the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Bitfury Group, in collaboration with Coin Center, the Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC), the Blockchain Trust Accelerator (BTA), and author-economist Saifedean Ammous, released the first-ever Arabic and Hindi translations of Satoshi Nakamoto’s white paper.
This initiative was part of a broader effort to promote global education and adoption of Bitcoin and blockchain technology.
The Arabic translation is available on Bitcoin.org, providing Arabic-speaking individuals with direct access to the seminal work that introduced Bitcoin as a peer-to-peer electronic cash system.
This effort underscores the importance of making educational resources available in multiple languages to support the widespread adoption of Bitcoin technologies.
The translation project began in July 2018, with the goal of translating Satoshi’s innovative paper into all major languages, starting with Arabic and Hindi, to encourage worldwide adoption and acceptance of Bitcoin.
Before this initiative, formally vetted translations of the white paper were only available in English, Spanish, Italian, Russian, and Swedish.
The availability of the Bitcoin White Paper in Arabic is expected to enhance understanding and engagement with Bitcoin among Arabic-speaking communities, contributing to the global discourse on cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies.
This translation serves as a vital resource for educators, researchers, and enthusiasts in the Arabic-speaking world.
