In a recent social media post, boxing legend Mike Tyson revealed a life-threatening health crisis he faced in June 2024.

Tyson disclosed that he underwent eight blood transfusions, lost half of his blood, and shed 25 pounds during hospitalization. This severe health scare led to the postponement of his scheduled fight with Jake Paul, originally set for July 20, 2024.
Despite these significant health challenges, Tyson, at 58, demonstrated remarkable resilience by returning to the ring on November 15, 2024, to face 27-year-old Jake Paul at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The bout, streamed live on Netflix, concluded with Paul winning by unanimous decision. Tyson expressed gratitude for the opportunity to compete again, emphasizing the personal victory of overcoming his health ordeal to stand toe-to-toe with a much younger opponent.
The fight garnered substantial attention, with over 60 million viewers tuning in globally.
Tyson’s former trainer, Jeff Fenech, acknowledged the symbolic victory in Tyson’s return, despite the loss. Fenech, however, advised against Tyson continuing in competitive boxing due to health concerns.
