This enhancement has resulted in a stable hashrate of approximately 4.8 terahashes per second (TH/s) while maintaining power consumption around 76 watts, equating to an efficiency of about 15.8 joules per terahash (J/TH).

The improved design also allows for the use of a smaller cooling system, effectively maintaining the board’s temperature at 55°C, a notable improvement from the previous 63°C with a larger cooler.

In comparative tests, the same smaller cooler was applied to the earlier 4-layer PCB design. The firmware initiated a shutdown when temperatures reached 70°C, indicating that the previous design was less efficient in heat management.

The transition to a 6-layer PCB has not only enhanced performance metrics but also improved thermal regulation, underscoring the importance of PCB architecture in optimizing the efficiency and reliability of mining hardware.
