Paul Tudor Jones’s Fund Expands Bitcoin Holdings via BlackRock ETF

Billionaire investor Paul Tudor Jones has significantly increased his fund’s Bitcoin holdings through BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF.

Recent filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reveal that Tudor Investment Corporation now holds over 4.4 million shares in the ETF, a substantial rise from the 869,565 shares reported in June. This expansion reflects Jones’s growing confidence in Bitcoin as a hedge against inflation and economic uncertainty.

The value of Tudor Investment’s stake in BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF has surged alongside Bitcoin’s price increase.

As of September 30, the holdings were valued at approximately $160 million; with Bitcoin’s recent rally, the current valuation stands at around $230 million. This strategic move aligns with Jones’s previous endorsements of Bitcoin as a valuable asset in diversified portfolios.

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF has experienced significant growth, attracting substantial institutional investments.

The fund’s assets under management have reached $33.1 billion, surpassing BlackRock’s iShares Gold Trust. This milestone underscores the increasing acceptance of Bitcoin among traditional financial institutions and highlights the evolving landscape of digital asset investments.
