Anthony Pompliano Proposes $250 Billion Bitcoin Investment Plan for The United States

Anthony Pompliano, a prominent Bitcoin advocate and investor, has reignited debate over the idea of a United States Bitcoin strategic reserve.

In a recent post on X.com, Pompliano suggested that the United States print $250 billion and allocate 100% of it to purchasing Bitcoin.

His reasoning centers on Bitcoin’s unique characteristics as a hedge against inflation and a potential safeguard for U.S. financial sovereignty.

According to Pompliano, Bitcoin has become the preferred balance sheet asset for companies like MicroStrategy, which has consistently demonstrated the cryptocurrency’s value in shielding against currency devaluation.

He emphasized that Bitcoin’s decentralized structure and limited supply of 21 million coins make it an asset with long-term scarcity-driven value appreciation.

Pompliano also pointed out that other proposals for a U.S. Bitcoin reserve, such as Senator Cynthia Lummis’s legislation and RFK Jr.’s daily Bitcoin buying plan, do not go far enough.

He proposed a bolder approach—allocating the entire $250 billion to Bitcoin acquisition on the first day of Donald Trump’s hypothetical return to the presidency.

Pompliano believes that a strategic reserve of Bitcoin would solidify the nation’s financial footing while signaling leadership in a global financial transformation.
