ASICs Achieve Higher Hashrate with MARA 2PIC Immersion Cooling System

Marathon Digital Holdings has introduced the MARA 2PIC system, a two-phase immersion cooling solution designed to enhance data center efficiency and performance.

The system submerges mining hardware in a dielectric fluid with a higher boiling point, which absorbs heat and vaporizes.

The vapor then rises and condenses upon contacting chilled condenser coils cooled by a water loop connected to a dry cooler, allowing the liquid coolant to return and maintain a continuous heat transfer cycle.

This sealed setup prevents dust and debris from affecting the hardware while efficiently dissipating heat, leading to optimal miner performance.

The MARA 2PIC system enables substantial overclocking of ASIC miners, with XP miners capable of being overclocked by up to 100% and Auradine miners achieving higher hash rates in a compact form factor.

Energy efficiency is significantly improved, as the system requires 80% less energy for cooling overhead compared to traditional air-cooled or single-phase immersion systems.

Additionally, the system supports remote management, facilitating streamlined and low-maintenance operations.

The MARA 2PIC system is heat capture ready, utilizing high-temperature water for heat exchange, which can be beneficial for operations in various climates.

By adopting this advanced cooling technology, data centers can achieve higher performance, reduced energy consumption, and lower operational costs.
