Neuralink Seeks Brain Computer Interface Field Engineer for Neurotechnology Advancements

Neuralink, the neurotechnology company founded by Elon Musk, is actively recruiting for the position of Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) Field Engineer.

This role is integral to the development of advanced BCI devices designed to restore motor functions in paralyzed individuals, return sight to the blind, and transform human interaction with digital platforms.

Neuralink is offering a competitive salary range of $89,000 to $148,000 for the BCI Field Engineer position, depending on experience, skills, and education.

The BCI Field Engineer will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—including software engineers, neuroengineers, animal trainers, mechanical engineers, and veterinarians—to advance human-ready BCI systems.

Key responsibilities encompass conducting daily sessions with clinical trial participants to evaluate new neural decoding algorithms, analyzing data to inform research and development decisions, and developing experimental setups to assist participants in learning new tasks and features.

Additional duties involve participating in clinical trial sessions, which may require travel, supporting participants in resolving issues during BCI usage, collecting feedback to relay to the engineering team, and conducting research sessions with non-human primates.

Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field—such as neuroscience, biology, engineering, physics, or software—or have equivalent experience.

Essential qualifications include excellent interpersonal and communication skills, experience in troubleshooting hardware and software, proficiency in data collection and analysis, and proven coding abilities in Python.

Preferred qualifications include experience in collecting physiological or other time-series data, working with participants in clinical studies, and developing and collecting customer surveys.

The anticipated base salary for this position ranges from $89,000 to $148,000, depending on job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Neuralink offers comprehensive benefits to full-time employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance through a PPO plan, paid holidays, commuter benefits, provided meals, equity and 401(k) plans, parental leave, and flexible time off.

Neuralink’s mission centers on creating devices that enable a bi-directional interface with the brain, aiming to restore movement to the paralyzed, restore sight to the blind, and revolutionize human interaction with the digital world.

I officially applied for the BCI Field Engineer position at Neuralink and am eager for the opportunity to contribute to their groundbreaking work in brain-computer interface technology.

The role aligns perfectly with my technical background and passion for innovation in neurotechnology.

I look forward to hearing back from Neuralink and hope to take the next steps in the hiring process soon!
