LCD vs. OLED Displays

LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) and OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) technologies are two widely used screen types in modern devices, each with distinct characteristics.

LCDs require a backlight to illuminate pixels, which means blacks can appear grayish, but they offer consistent brightness and are generally more affordable.

OLED displays, on the other hand, emit their own light per pixel, resulting in true blacks, higher contrast, and more vibrant colors, especially in darker scenes. OLEDs are common in smartphones and high-end displays but may suffer from burn-in over time, whereas LCDs are more durable in static-use environments like office monitors.
