Bitmain Set To Release S23 Hyd 3U With 1.16 PH/s Hashrate in 2026

Bitmain’s upcoming Antminer S23 Hyd 3U is poised to debut in January 2026, delivering a peak hashrate of 1.16 PH/s for Bitcoin miners using the SHA-256 algorithm.

The unit consumes 11020W of power and boasts an energy efficiency of 9.5 J/TH, placing it among the most efficient hydro-cooled models to date.

Compact in a 3U rackmount form, it measures 35.4 x 19.1 x 5.2 inches and operates at a low 50 dB, making it suitable for data centers and hydro-loop deployments.

At an average electricity rate of $0.05/kWh, the S23 Hyd 3U yields $49.11 in daily profit, totaling $1,473.19 monthly or $17,923.83 annually, according to ASIC Miner Value.

The profitability calculation assumes an income of $62.33 per day offset by a $13.22 energy cost. This profit margin signals growing interest in next-generation ASICs as miners seek high-efficiency rigs ahead of the next difficulty surge and halving event.

Positioned as a successor to the hydro-cooled S21 models, the S23 Hyd 3U also features a dual-port hydro inlet and outlet system and a standard Ethernet interface.

The machine can withstand environmental temperatures from 41°F to 113°F and humidity between 5% and 95%, offering strong resilience for industrial operations.

A wide range of vendors are now listing the Bitmain Antminer S23 Hyd 3U, with price points spanning from $8,498 to $32,391. Units with January 2026 delivery start at $8,498 via YesMining in Hong Kong and reach up to $29,000 through U.S.-based ACE Miners.

Meanwhile, in-stock units from vendors in China, Germany, and the U.S. fall within the $28,300 to $32,391 range depending on shipping location and service options.

The return on investment (ROI) varies significantly, with projected payback periods ranging from 378 days to 813 days depending on vendor pricing and availability.

Buyers opting for early delivery units under $10,500 can expect sub-450-day ROI timelines, while those purchasing from overseas resellers with higher markups face ROI periods exceeding two years.

The release further strengthens Bitmain’s hold on the high-efficiency ASIC market while keeping energy optimization central to its engineering push.
