Soluna’s Gameplan in the AI Cloud Market
Soluna Holdings, Inc., a developer of green data centers, has announced the deployment of its first batch of NVIDIA H100 GPUs. This move is part of a strategic initiative to generate up to $80 million in revenue over the next three years. The company’s new subsidiary, Soluna Cloud, Inc., has raised a $12.5 million credit facility to support this venture.
The financing will be used to launch Soluna Cloud and secure a three-year managed-services agreement at a Tier 3 hydro-powered data center. This facility will be 100% powered by renewable energy, offering a sustainable solution for enterprise generative AI workloads. “This is a pivotal point for Soluna Cloud as we are now able to open our waitlist for this highly anticipated business at Soluna. AI is set to transform the enterprise, and Soluna is making a vital contribution to making it a climate-friendly reality,” said John Belizaire, CEO of Soluna.
The NVIDIA H100 GPUs are designed to handle intensive computing tasks, supporting large language models with at least 70 billion parameters. This setup will enable Soluna Cloud to offer enterprise-grade AI capabilities, positioning the company at the forefront of sustainable and scalable AI infrastructure.
Soluna expects to generate between $16 million and $26 million in revenue per year as the site becomes fully operational. Over the life of the contract, total revenue is projected to reach between $38 million and $80 million, contingent on market conditions and customer adoption.
