Salesforce Asset Management can be used to manage assets such as bitcoin ASIC Miners at data centers. Successfully managing assets will increase customer morale and sales. By actively tracking assets, you can reduce losses and enhance brand value.

You will need login credentials before you can log into salesforce and begin asset management procedure. 

1. Login to Salesforce with employee credentials

2. Select 1 non-working miner you want to troubleshoot & repair. Open the camera app on your iPad. Focus camera on the QR code asset label and press the my.site.com tab at the bottom of the screen. 

3. Check if there is already an auto generated open Work Order for that miner. If there is already an auto generated open Work Order for that miner, Vincent needs to reassign that Work Order to you.

4. After that you handle the miner repairs & Work Order assigned to you. 

5. Record any parts exchanged, and location changes in: Work order 

In the DESCRIPTION or RESULT field document the: 

• Location change ex: 15-5-5 (pad-pdu # – miner position) 
• Parts replaced 
• Serial number change

6. Miner Asset – type in the old PSU S/N if it was not recorded in Miner Asset earlier,  and Click Save.

6a.Type in both PSU serial numbers in Work Order Description or Result field, so we have a track record what was done in the Work Order, but also in the Asset History. 

6b. For example one miner can in the future have many work orders related to that miner. That is why we want a description of what was done (parts serial numbers, locations – old and new) in every work order, but also this new information MUST be updated to Miner Asset, so every miner has current, correct data about its location, current PSU serial number, etc.

7. Type in the new PSU S/N and click Save: now, the moment new serial number and old serial number and old serial number were swapped will be on the salesforce asset history ledger

If you can see that the old PSU S/N is already recorded in Miner Asset in Salesforce, in that case you only need to update the new PSU S/N in Miner Asset in Salesforce.

8. Change miners Container Location in the Asset if miner was moved from one to the other, and click SAVE

9. If you are getting a red error code after you click save (there are several different types) then you need to create a new work order for that same asset.

10.Make sure to update the Container Location in Salesforce for every Miner Asset that is moved from one container to another.

11. When closing Work Orders for Server repairs, please fill Duration time.
