Fold has launched the Fold Mining Club in collaboration with CryptoCloaks. This initiative aims to make home Bitcoin mining accessible to a broader audience.

The Fold Mining Club offers a limited-edition Bitaxe Supra 403 ASIC Solo Miner bundle, priced at $259. The package includes the miner, a custom Fold Mining Club case, a one-year Fold+ subscription, and coverage for one year of electricity costs.

The Bitaxe Supra 403 is an open-source, single ASIC chip Bitcoin miner featuring the BM1368 chip from the Antminer S21. It delivers a hash rate of approximately 733 GH/s at overclocked settings while consuming between 15 to 18 watts of power, making it one of the most efficient Bitcoin mining devices available.
Setting up the Bitaxe Supra 403 is straightforward. Users can connect the device to a standard power outlet, link it to their home Wi-Fi network, and begin mining. The miner supports both solo mining and pool mining configurations, providing flexibility for users.
The Fold Mining Club aims to bring 100 solo miners online, contributing an additional 0.00006 EH/s to the Bitcoin network’s total hashrate. This effort underscores a commitment to decentralization and community-driven mining initiatives.
The Bitaxe project, initiated by Skot, has gained popularity within the Bitcoin community for its open-source design and user-friendly approach to home mining. It offers enthusiasts an opportunity to engage with Bitcoin mining without the need for industrial-scale equipment.
The collaboration between Fold and CryptoCloaks reflects a shared vision of making Bitcoin mining more accessible and decentralized, aligning with the broader goals of the cryptocurrency community.
The Fold Mining Club Bitaxe bundle is available for purchase through the CryptoCloaks store, with initial batches selling out rapidly, indicating strong interest from the community.
This initiative represents a significant step toward democratizing Bitcoin mining, allowing individuals to participate in the network’s security and operation from their homes.
