Tom Lee Predicts Bitcoin Surpassing $150K in 2025

Tom Lee, co-founder and managing partner of Fundstrat Global Advisors, recently shared his optimistic outlook on Bitcoin’s price trajectory for 2025.

In an interview on CNBC’s ‘Squawk Box,’ Lee expressed confidence that Bitcoin will surpass the $150,000 mark this year, attributing this anticipated growth to increasing institutional adoption and broader acceptance.

Lee highlighted that Bitcoin’s growing mainstream acceptance is a significant factor driving its potential price surge. He noted that as major financial entities, such as Citadel Securities, begin trading Bitcoin, the cryptocurrency’s legitimacy and appeal are further solidified.

Addressing the recent market volatility, where Bitcoin experienced a notable downturn in February 2025, Lee described this fluctuation as a typical cyclical correction. He emphasized that such price movements are inherent to Bitcoin’s nature and should not deter long-term investors.

Looking ahead, Lee maintains an even more bullish stance for Bitcoin’s future. He projects that by the end of 2025, Bitcoin could reach prices between $200,000 and $250,000, driven by favorable regulatory environments and the upcoming Bitcoin halving event, which historically has influenced price increases.

Lee’s predictions are echoed by other industry experts. For instance, Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan has also forecasted that Bitcoin prices could cross the $100,000 threshold by the end of this year, underscoring a broader bullish sentiment within the cryptocurrency market.

As of March 3, 2025, Bitcoin is trading at approximately $86,751, reflecting a 7.32% decrease from the previous close. The cryptocurrency reached an intraday high of $94,878 and a low of $86,548, indicating ongoing volatility.Investing

Investors and market participants are advised to approach these projections with caution, considering the inherent volatility and risks associated with cryptocurrency investments.
