However, the firmware compatibility is limited. It seems that newer firmware is not usually compatible with this particular model.

The BeagleBone control board is another option, known for its adaptability and open-source support. This is actually my favorite control board of the 3. It is popular among developers who prefer to modify and customize mining operations extensively. Many leading Bitcoin mining companies, such as Foundry Digital, Cipher Mining, and Desiweminer, also develop their proprietary control boards and firmware. These companies tailor their hardware solutions to meet specific performance and efficiency requirements, often integrating unique features that cater to large-scale operations.
