Madden NFL 27 delivered a major Franchise overhaul, but players are already building a Madden 28 wishlist. BitcoinVersus.Tech reviewed current Madden discussions across Reddit, EA Forums, Operation Sports, reviews and creator wishlists. This is not a scientific poll, but three requests appeared repeatedly enough to form a clear top tier.
The broad message is that players want EA to improve the systems already in the game before adding more layers. A recent EA Forums discussion focused on Madden 28 asks for more polish and attention to long-running issues.
1. Fix Blocking, Movement and Gameplay AI
The loudest gameplay request is still better offensive-line behavior. Players repeatedly describe missed assignments, immediate interior pressure, play-action collapsing too quickly and blockers failing to recognize nearby defenders. The request is bigger than increasing protection ratings: fans want linemen, defenders and ball carriers to react to leverage, momentum and assignments more naturally.
Operation Sports’ Madden 27 impressions thread captures the wider version of that complaint, with players discussing defender momentum, pursuit behavior and other gameplay moments that can break immersion.
This connects directly to what BitcoinVersus.Tech examined in College Football 27’s blocking-AI update. Football games increasingly need assignment logic that understands who should block whom, but the next step is making those decisions hold up through the changing geometry of a real play.
2. Make Franchise Logic Hold Up for Many Seasons
Madden 27’s Persona Engine, contract negotiations, holdouts, trade demands and free-agency systems gave Franchise more personality. The next request is deeper: players want CPU teams to manage a league intelligently over many seasons. That means better salary-cap recovery, roster construction, draft logic, scouting, contract structure and trade behavior.
Scouting is another repeated target. Wishlist discussions ask for a true draft board, faster prospect comparison, better generated-player customization, stronger scouting context and more control over draft classes. Players want enough information and league logic to feel like they are actually running an NFL organization.
BitcoinVersus.Tech previously covered Madden NFL 27’s attempt to rewrite the logic behind Franchise simulation. Madden 28’s challenge is making those systems remain believable after a save reaches Year 5, Year 10 and beyond.
3. Make Every Game Feel Like an NFL Broadcast
Presentation is the third recurring request. Madden 27 improved entrances, lighting and stadium atmosphere, but players still ask for a more cohesive television package: better replay framing, more useful stat overlays, longer post-play sequences, stronger halftime and weekly recap coverage, richer commentary and more league-wide story context.
The common request is not simply better graphics. Players want the game to understand narrative. A rivalry, playoff chase, record attempt, quarterback controversy or late-season collapse should change the information and atmosphere around a broadcast.
That long-horizon immersion problem is not unique to Madden. BitcoinVersus.Tech recently examined why NBA 2K27 players are also demanding better simulation realism from Franchise-style modes. Sports games increasingly depend on whether the league around the player remains believable.
The Madden 28 Wishlist Is Really About Trust
The top three requests are connected. Better blocking requires smarter football logic. Better Franchise requires smarter league logic. Better presentation requires the game to understand which moments matter. In each case, players are asking Madden 28 to make the systems already on screen more believable.
If EA solves those three areas, Madden 28 would not need a giant new feature to feel substantially different. A pocket that forms correctly, a CPU general manager that can build a coherent roster for a decade and a broadcast that reacts to the story of the season would change nearly every game a Franchise player sees.
