Adani Enterprises and Jabil signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding on October 13 for a proposed 50:50 joint venture to manufacture AI and data-center hardware in India. The companies say the platform would target multi-gigawatt manufacturing capacity.
The proposed portfolio reaches well beyond servers. Adani and Jabil say it could include AI racks, storage, networking gear, power-distribution units, liquid-cooling systems and transformers, plus installation and commissioning. That matters because BitcoinVersus.Tech has already tracked how AI demand is driving more power infrastructure, while 1.6T optical links and custom AI chips are pushing the rest of the rack forward.
The wording is important: this is still a proposal. The venture remains subject to definitive agreements, approvals and customary conditions. A same-day Financial Express report likewise describes the deal as an MoU rather than a completed joint venture.

If completed, the significance is vertical integration: AI compute hardware, networking, cooling and power equipment would be assembled inside the same manufacturing ecosystem. The companies estimate India could reach 5–8 GW of data-center capacity by 2030, but that figure is an industry forecast, not a guaranteed outcome.
