Arjun Joins Street Fighter 6 Today

Street Fighter 6 is adding Arjun on October 13 as the second playable fighter in its Year 4 lineup, bringing a slower, power-focused style built around yogic breathing techniques and heavy attacks.

In its official gameplay announcement, Capcom describes Arjun as a former police officer in India who was framed after his partner was killed. His combat design emphasizes large strikes, recoverable damage and breathing-based abilities rather than speed.

Arjun arrives after Yasmine in the Year 4 roster. BitcoinVersus.Tech previously covered Capcom’s work on AI-assisted game development, part of a broader effort to modernize the tools behind its games while continuing to expand long-running franchises.

Street Fighter’s official account announced the maintenance window preparing Street Fighter 6 for Arjun’s October 13 availability.

The technical side of Capcom’s pipeline is also changing. BitcoinVersus.Tech reported that the company is evolving RE Engine through its REX initiative, which is intended to support increasingly complex production requirements across future titles.

Capcom’s Year 4 pass listing says Arjun is part of a four-character package with Yasmine, Tifa and Bosch. Owners of the Year 4 Character Pass or Ultimate Pass receive the fighters as they unlock, while individual characters can also be obtained separately in the game.

Street Fighter’s verified channel demonstrates Arjun’s breathing techniques, heavy attacks and Super Arts.

The release also lands during a busy stretch for large-scale game technology. BitcoinVersus.Tech recently looked at Ace Combat 8’s Unreal Engine 5 multiplayer systems, showing how major publishers are simultaneously pushing character design, online systems and engine technology.

Arjun’s launch is a roster update rather than a new game or engine release. The important change for players is straightforward: Street Fighter 6 gains another distinct combat archetype, while Year 4 continues toward Tifa and Bosch after Yasmine and Arjun.
