Xbox has announced the Xbox Nano Controller, its smallest first-party controller yet. The compact gamepad is a little over 5 inches long, weighs 3.5 ounces, and still carries all 18 standard gameplay inputs. Xbox says it is aimed at younger players, smaller hands, and anyone who wants a controller that is easier to carry. The company revealed the hardware in an official Xbox post on X and detailed it on Xbox Wire.

The Nano includes an internal rechargeable battery, a programmable Action Button for shortcuts such as screenshots and gameplay capture, plus Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth. Microsoft lists compatibility with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, Android and iOS. A USB-C cable is required for charging but is sold separately.

In the United States, the Microsoft Store lists the controller at $49.99 with a November 4, 2026 release date. Preorders are open now.

The smaller controller also fits Xbox’s broader push toward playing across more devices. BitcoinVersus.Tech recently covered Xbox Labs and experimental game technology, the expected hardware direction of the next Xbox generation, and Xbox’s expanding cloud-gaming strategy.
