Cerence AI and Geely are extending their existing automotive AI partnership into service robotics. The companies said on October 15, 2026 that they are demonstrating a humanoid robot at the Paris Motor Show using Cerence’s multilingual conversational AI.
The system is designed to let people speak naturally with robots in French, English and Mandarin without manually switching languages. Cerence says the same speech and conversational technology it has already deployed in vehicles is now being adapted for embodied machines that need to listen, understand and respond in public or workplace environments.
Cerence AI previously showed its Geely partnership publicly at CES 2026.

The move fits a broader shift already visible across robotics. BitcoinVersus.Tech recently ranked the top humanoid robots in 2026, covered NEURA’s multimodal robot model, and examined NVIDIA’s humanoid-robot safety work. Voice interaction is another layer in that stack: a robot may need perception and motion control, but it also needs a reliable interface for humans.
Cerence’s official announcement confirms the robotics expansion. Geely’s Paris Motor Show coverage independently confirms the automaker’s presence at the event. The companies have not yet disclosed production volumes, commercial deployment dates or performance benchmarks for the robot system.
