Hello Games released No Man’s Sky: Forsaken on October 28, adding haunted salvage missions, customizable biomechanical spaceships and a way to warp directly toward nearby stars. The free 7.10 update arrives alongside the space exploration game’s debut on iPhone and iPad, extending a decade of post-launch changes to another platform.

New salvage missions and ship parts
Players can recover eerie biological specimens from abandoned freighters, infested outposts and wreckage, then barter with new collectors for specialized corvette modules. The official patch notes also detail new cockpits, habitats, a larva-themed multi-tool and courier contracts that turn interplanetary deliveries into another way to earn rewards.

One of the larger changes affects navigation. Rather than opening the galaxy map every time, players can now target a visible nearby star and begin warping toward its system. That makes the space between destinations feel more connected, although it remains a warp mechanic rather than unrestricted travel between systems at ordinary flight speeds.

Additional changes include a reduced heads-up display, radial weapon selection, new deep-space creature battles and the ability to upload certain orbital bases for other players to visit. Forsaken is the fifth major update Hello Games has released this year, following Remnant, Xeno Arena, The Swarm and Cosmos. The studio’s expanding universe previously appeared in BitcoinVersus.Tech’s ranking of space exploration games.
The full universe arrives on iPhone and iPad
The mobile edition may be the more demanding technical achievement. Hello Games says the procedurally generated universe and more than 40 updates fit in a download of roughly 4 GB. The studio rebuilt touch controls and optimized power consumption and thermal behavior for devices as old as the iPhone 11 and third-generation iPad Air.

The iOS release is free to try, with a one-time payment to unlock the full game. There are limits: Hello Games says multiplayer is not supported on iOS, and planetary settlements require an iPhone 15 Pro or newer. The small download also offers a useful contrast with BitcoinVersus.Tech’s examination of how game file sizes have grown.

A day after the major release, Hello Games issued patch 7.11 on Steam to address crashes tied to the Space Anomaly teleporter and system warping. The developer said other platforms would receive the fixes as soon as possible. Further patches are expected as players test the expanded update.
