Honeywell Technologies has launched Forge Cognition, an AI and simulation platform built with NVIDIA and Dell Technologies that puts AI agents and real-time digital twins on top of building and industrial control systems.
The system can classify alarms, watch HVAC equipment for emerging faults and simulate operating changes before teams apply them. NVIDIA supplies Nemotron models, Omniverse simulation technology and accelerated computing, while Dell provides the on-site AI infrastructure.
NVIDIA’s broader physical-AI push includes open data-factory tooling for robots, the same simulation-to-real-world direction underlying Forge Cognition.
The pilot needs context
At NVIDIA’s Voyager campus, Honeywell reports an up to 90% reduction, on average, in unnecessary alerts and says the platform identified up to 10% potential reduction in energy and utility consumption. Those are promising operating results, but they are vendor-reported pilot measurements rather than an independent controlled study.
The distinction gets even more important with autonomy. Honeywell says Forge Cognition can support manual, semi-autonomous and autonomous operation, but CTO Suresh Venkatarayalu told Fortune that the company has not enabled full autonomy yet. Humans remain in the control loop.

The larger trend connects with BitcoinVersus.Tech’s coverage of physical-AI training, AI agents moving into chip fabs and open industrial robotics software. Forge Cognition pushes the same idea into the buildings, HVAC systems and industrial assets people already operate.
