Telltale and publishing partner PM Studios released The Wolf Among Us Remastered on October 29 for $24.99, returning the 2013 detective adventure to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox One, with Xbox Series X|S support through backward compatibility. The new edition introduces five playable deleted scenes, a black-and-white Noir Mode and a way for players’ decisions to carry into the planned sequel.
Inspired by DC’s Fables comic series, the game follows Bigby Wolf, sheriff of a secret fairy-tale community in 1980s New York. Players interrogate suspects and make decisions that alter relationships as a murder investigation grows into a wider conspiracy. The original’s branching story remains central to the remaster rather than being replaced with new missions.

Five Restored Scenes and a Noir Mode
Telltale says it reworked lighting, character detail, animation, environments and audio. A gallery with more than 100 pieces of artwork and over an hour of developer interviews accompanies the five restored scenes. Noir Mode can be switched on or off during play, replacing Fabletown’s colorful neon presentation with a monochrome detective-film look.
The studio’s feature demonstration shows how these changes affect familiar settings. That matters for returning players deciding whether the visual upgrade and extra material justify buying a story they already own.

Discounts and the Sequel Connection
The standard price is $24.99, but launch promotions run through November 12. Steam, Epic Games Store and Xbox offer 20% off for new buyers and 50% off for qualifying digital owners of the original. On PlayStation 5, the 20% new-buyer offer requires PlayStation Plus; eligible original owners can receive a larger discount depending on membership. The same-store, same-account rules matter.
Telltale also confirmed that players signed in through a Telltale Account can transfer defining decisions from Remastered into The Wolf Among Us 2. New players will be able to establish those earlier choices directly when beginning the sequel, meaning the first game is not mandatory homework.
Nintendo Switch editions are still planned, but did not join the October 29 launch and have no newly confirmed release date. Physical editions are expected in early 2027. Telltale’s next challenge is demonstrating that its continuation can deliver on the narrative expectations this remaster revives.
