UltimusPool has terminated its Bitcoin mining service, according to a notice on the operator’s official website. The announcement set 08:00 UTC on November 5, 2026 as the point after which website access would no longer be available and urged customers to export earnings records. The shutdown adds another departing pool to Bitcoin’s mining infrastructure, but does not mean the participating ASIC machines automatically left the Bitcoin network.
The closure is distinct from Binance Pool’s announced November 10 shutdown. The two businesses had a publicly disclosed technical-services partnership from June 2022, but maintained their own named services and deadlines. UltimusPool did not disclose a final customer balance total, bankruptcy proceeding, or confirmed destination for miners’ computing power in its brief closure notice.

Mining work can move even when a pool disappears
A Bitcoin pool receives proof-of-work shares from independent mining machines, builds candidate blocks and allocates earnings under a published payout method. UltimusPool advertised full pay-per-share (FPPS) settlement, daily payouts, sub-account tools and an historical minimum payment of 0.005 BTC. FPPS pays miners against submitted work while exposing the pool operator to block-finding variability. BitcoinVersus.Tech has explained how share-based pool rewards differ from solo mining.
Miners can usually change their Stratum pool endpoint, worker identification and backup configuration without replacing their hardware. However, a transition may involve reconnect delays, rejected shares, differences in fees or payout thresholds, and reconciliation of outstanding earnings. BitcoinVersus.Tech’s analysis of variable mining-share difficulty illustrates why operators should test accepted shares after switching services.

The final attributed block preceded the announcement
The Mempool Open Source Project’s pool record lists 982 historically attributed blocks and identifies block 968,574 on September 25 as the last attributed UltimusPool block. Its current short-window statistics show no attributed blocks. The distinction is important: the last identifiable block does not establish the date when the operator stopped accepting shares, nor prove whether individual customer payouts were completed.
Selected mempool.space historical estimates show the pool around 3.77 EH/s on July 13, falling to roughly 0.94 EH/s by September 28. The figures are statistical estimates derived from block attribution and can differ from actual submitted hashrate. A decline in one pool’s share also cannot establish a matching decline in Bitcoin’s total network security, since miners may migrate to other pools.
A partnership with Binance, but separate obligations
In Binance’s June 29, 2022 announcement, UltimusPool was described as a technical-services partner offering professional miners external wallet addresses, sub-accounts and green-mining incentives. The historical association does not establish common ownership, identical financial obligations or a single closure event. Binance later announced its own cutoff for November 10 at 07:00 UTC, including Stratum connections and related mining services.

For affected miners, the immediate tasks are preserving any earnings exports still obtainable, checking wallet receipts independently, retaining communications and configuring a verified replacement pool. An operator should confirm its new payout policy and monitor accepted shares before trusting dashboard revenue estimates. BitcoinVersus.Tech previously covered a separate pool’s Lightning withdrawal options, showing how minimum balances and settlement methods vary.
UltimusPool’s exit illustrates the operational dependence miners have on pool software and payout administration. Its website notice verifies service termination and an access deadline; it does not independently answer how many former customers are owed money or where every connected machine went.
Editor’s Note: UltimusPool’s termination and 08:00 UTC November 5, 2026 website cutoff were checked against the official operator notice. The June 2022 partnership and separate November 10 Binance Pool closure were verified against Binance’s partnership statement and its October 2026 shutdown notice. Attributed blocks and historical hashrate estimates were cross-checked with mempool.space; those estimates are not direct evidence of submitted work or liabilities.
