Team Falcons are the 2026 Rocket League World Champions after defeating Spacestation Gaming 4–0 in the Grand Final in Fort Worth, Texas, completing a title run through a 20-team championship field.
Rocket League’s official competitive hub now lists Team Falcons as the newest world champions, with RW9, Kiileerrz and Dralii behind the wheel. Tournament operator BLAST records the final as a 4–0 Falcons victory and lists a $1.2 million total prize pool, including $300,000 for first place.
Falcons finish the job in Fort Worth
The September 15–20 championship at Dickies Arena brought together the season’s leading teams from Europe, North America, South America, MENA, Oceania, APAC and Sub-Saharan Africa. Falcons entered from the MENA region and beat defending champion NRG 4–1, Karmine Corp 4–2 and Spacestation 4–0 across their final three playoff series.
The result adds another chapter to a rapidly expanding esports calendar. BitcoinVersus recently covered Logitech G PLAY’s esports and gaming-hardware push, while the broader gaming ecosystem continues to stretch from elite competition into hardware, emulation and mobile play.
Rocket League pushed Worlds beyond the livestream
The championship was also a distribution experiment. Rocket League announced that Championship Sunday would play live in 50 AMC theaters across the United States, while seven universities hosted official campus watch parties. That placed the esports final in cinemas, college venues and traditional livestream channels at the same time.
For gaming audiences, that hybrid approach matters almost as much as the bracket. Competitive gaming is increasingly borrowing the venue, broadcast and communal-viewing playbook of conventional sports while retaining the global online audience that made esports possible.
BitcoinVersus has also been following the technology underneath that audience shift, including Dolphin’s expansion of online multiplayer to Android. Both developments point toward gaming experiences that move more freely across devices and physical venues.
A clean championship sweep
Spacestation reached the Grand Final after beating Virtus.pro 4–0 and FUT Esports 4–2. Falcons then denied the North American side a game in the title series. BLAST’s post-tournament table places Falcons first, ahead of Karmine Corp and Spacestation.
The championship gives the Falcons trio a definitive finish to the 2026 RLCS season and gives Rocket League another showcase for the game’s unusual blend of mechanical precision, team tactics and sports-style spectacle.
