Logitech G used its 2026 PLAY event to push gaming hardware in several directions at once, spanning esports peripherals, creator audio, software, AI-assisted features and sim racing.

The September 23 global event connected Los Angeles, Warsaw and Shanghai, with Logitech positioning the announcements around PC gaming, console, competitive esports, streaming and racing simulation.

AI moves into creator audio

One of the more interesting technology launches is the Yeti 2 USB microphone. Logitech says the microphone can track a vocal source in 3D and automatically adjust gain and EQ. It also includes AI-powered de-noising designed to suppress interruptions such as keyboard noise and PC fans.

The microphone includes a 1.3-inch display and onboard controls, while deeper configuration is available through G HUB. That combination reflects a broader move toward putting more signal processing and automation directly into creator hardware.

Esports hardware and software expand

Logitech G PLAY also introduced new PRO-series competitive hardware and additions across the company’s gaming lineup. G HUB REPLAY adds automatic gameplay recording and can identify moments from a session and assemble them into a shareable highlight reel.

The company is also expanding its Developer Alliance, connecting game developers with Logitech technology and tools intended to deepen hardware integration and immersion.

Sim racing gets a larger role

Sim racing was another major part of PLAY 2026. Logitech highlighted its RS50 direct-drive ecosystem, pedals and its McLaren Racing collaboration, continuing the industry’s push toward modular racing hardware that more closely reproduces steering forces and vehicle feedback.

Competitive gaming remains part of the hardware story

The Warsaw side of Logitech G PLAY hosted Counter-Strike 2 competition alongside the hardware announcements. The event carried an approximately ₿1.18 ($100,000) prize pool, using a September 24 Bitcoin reference price of roughly $84,400 per BTC. 3DMAX finished first in the Logitech G Play Connect event, taking approximately ₿0.47 ($40,000) of the prize pool, while Luminosity finished second.

Gaming hardware is becoming a systems business

The larger theme is convergence. Competitive peripherals are increasingly tied to configuration software, creator hardware is adding AI-assisted processing, gameplay software is automating content creation, and racing peripherals are evolving into modular simulation systems.

That makes Logitech G PLAY less about a single mouse or keyboard and more about the expanding technology stack surrounding modern gaming.
