Which fan-cooled Bitcoin mining machine produces the most hashrate? This ranking looks at published nominal terahashes per second (TH/s), not the lowest electricity use. We compare five leading conventional, full-size SHA-256 ASIC models using their standard rated configurations. Hydro and immersion machines are excluded.

Important scope: This is a five-model comparison, not an independently certified census of every manufacturer, bin, overclocked mode or high-power custom air-cooled design. Rated output may differ from live hashrate. All values are nominal and approximate where noted.

The five machines ranked by hashrate

  1. Bitdeer SEALMINER A4 Pro Air: 336 TH/s, 3,662 W, 10.9 J/TH.
  2. Bitmain Antminer S23 Air: 318 TH/s, about 3,498 W, 11.0 J/TH.
  3. Canaan Avalon A16XP: 300 TH/s, about 3,850 W, 12.8 J/TH.
  4. Bitdeer SEALMINER A3 Pro Air: 290 TH/s, 3,625 W, 12.5 J/TH.
  5. Canaan Avalon A16: 282 TH/s, about 3,900 W, 13.8 J/TH.

1. Bitdeer SEALMINER A4 Pro Air — 336 TH/s

The A4 Pro Air leads this group with a manufacturer-rated 336 TH/s. Bitdeer specifies 3,662.4 watts and 10.9 J/TH in its April 2026 launch release. In a separate manufacturer demonstration, one sample reportedly ran above its standard rating; that does not change the published 336-TH/s comparison figure.

2. Bitmain Antminer S23 Air — 318 TH/s

The S23 Air is rated at 318 TH/s in a commonly listed high-hashrate configuration. At 11 J/TH, that works out to approximately 3,498 watts. Confirm the exact S23 air-cooled bin, because other listings use different nominal hashrates. Do not confuse this machine with Bitmain’s liquid-cooled S23 Hydro variants.

3. Canaan Avalon A16XP — 300 TH/s

The Avalon A16XP delivers a rated 300 TH/s, with approximately 3.85 kW of power draw and 12.8 J/TH. It was introduced as part of Canaan’s next-generation A16 series. It has less nominal hashrate than the S23 but is another option for facilities that want conventional forced-air cooling.

4. Bitdeer SEALMINER A3 Pro Air — 290 TH/s

Bitdeer’s A3 Pro Air is rated at 290 TH/s using approximately 3,625 watts. Its 12.5 J/TH rating is better than the two Avalon machines in this group, although its raw hashrate falls below the A16XP. Bitdeer has published an official model listing and a demonstration.

5. Canaan Avalon A16 — 282 TH/s

The standard Avalon A16 has a rated 282 TH/s, with roughly 3,900 watts of draw and 13.8 J/TH. Its lower hashrate and efficiency compared with the A16XP may be offset by a better purchase price, depending on supplier and site economics.

Hashrate is not profitability

Hashrate measures the number of SHA-256 calculations a miner performs each second. It does not show how much the miner earns after electricity, cooling, downtime, pool fees and equipment cost. A higher-TH/s machine can be less attractive if its price or electricity consumption is too high.

For an efficiency-first comparison, see our seven most efficient air-cooled Bitcoin miners. For the difference between machine and facility energy use, read Your ASIC’s J/TH Is Not Your Site’s J/TH. Our profitability ranking at eight-cent electricity addresses a different question.

Bottom line: The SEALMINER A4 Pro Air leads these five standard air-cooled models at 336 TH/s. Before buying, compare the exact bin, warranty, delivered cost, uptime and measured power under your site’s operating conditions.
