10 Most Profitable Bitcoin Miners at $0.08/kWh Right Now

Bitcoin mining engineers inspecting modern ASIC racks and power infrastructure, illustrating profitability at eight-cent-per-kWh electricity.

At $0.08 per kilowatt-hour, Bitcoin mining is still profitable on a surprisingly large number of modern ASICs—but the machines making the most money are increasingly concentrated at the high end of hydro-cooled hardware.

As of October 10, 2026, ASICMining.io tracks 269 SHA-256 miners and estimates that 117 are profitable at $0.08/kWh. Its current leader is BITMAIN’s ANTMINER S23 Hyd 3U at an estimated $22.86 per day after the assumed electricity cost.

This ranking uses that single profitability snapshot for all ten machines so the dollar figures are internally consistent. We also consolidated duplicate or near-duplicate database rows with the same hashrate, wattage and profit—most notably the 865 TH/s S23e Hyd profiles and the 860 TH/s S21 XP Hyd 3U profiles—then moved to the next distinct machine profile.

For context, StartMining’s live Bitcoin network dashboard shows difficulty around 132.72 T and hashprice around $39.46/PH/day today. Those values move continuously, so this is a dated profitability snapshot—not a promise about tomorrow’s earnings.

How We Ranked the Machines

  • Electricity price: $0.08/kWh.
  • Machines run continuously at their listed power draw.
  • Ranking metric: estimated daily mining profit after the $0.08/kWh machine electricity cost.
  • Hardware purchase price is not deducted.
  • Pool fees, hosting markup, cooling pumps, dry coolers, transformers, downtime, repair labor, tariffs, taxes and financing are not added unless already reflected by the source.
  • Duplicate/near-duplicate specification rows are consolidated so the list represents ten distinct machine profiles.

That distinction matters. This is an operating-margin ranking, not an ROI ranking. The machine that earns the most dollars per day is not automatically the machine with the fastest hardware payback.

Power-cost/day is simple wall-power arithmetic at $0.08/kWh. Profit/day follows the cited ASICMining.io SHA-256 snapshot and will change with Bitcoin price, transaction fees, difficulty, hashprice and source methodology.

#10 — Bitdeer SEALMINER A3 Pro Hyd. 600T Profile: $8.37/Day

The 600 TH/s A3 Pro Hyd. database profile draws 7.5 kW, putting its machine electricity bill at about $14.40 per day at eight-cent power. The profitability snapshot leaves an estimated $8.37 per day.

This entry is specifically the 600T database profile. Bitdeer has sold other A3 Pro Hydro bins, so buyers should match any purchase quote to the exact hashrate and wattage instead of assuming every machine with the same family name behaves identically.

#9 — BITMAIN ANTMINER S21 XP+ Hyd. 500T Profile: $8.41/Day

The 500 TH/s S21 XP+ Hyd. profile draws 5.5 kW and lands at an estimated $8.41 per day after eight-cent electricity. Its 11 J/TH efficiency keeps it competitive even as newer S23-class machines push below 10 J/TH.

This is another case where exact bins matter: BITMAIN’s current catalog can show different hashrate SKUs inside the same product family. Treat the 500T figure as the profile used for this ranking, not a claim that every S21 XP+ Hyd. ships at exactly 500 TH/s.

#8 — BITMAIN ANTMINER S23 Hyd. 563T: $11.09/Day

The 563 TH/s S23 Hyd. profile uses 5,349 W at 9.5 J/TH. At $0.08/kWh, that is roughly $10.27 per day in machine electricity, leaving an estimated $11.09 per day in the current snapshot.

This is where electricity price becomes the central mining variable. A two-cent change in power price compounds across every kilowatt, every hour, every day.

A recent Bitcoin Mining community discussion runs the S23 Hydro at several hosting rates and shows how quickly a few cents per kWh changes the result.

#7 — BITMAIN ANTMINER S21 XP Hyd. 3U 860T: $11.17/Day

The 860 TH/s S21 XP Hyd. 3U profile is less efficient than the newer S23 leaders at 13 J/TH, but raw hashrate keeps it high on the profitability list. Its 11.18 kW draw costs about $21.47 per day at $0.08/kWh, with estimated profit at $11.17 per day.

The source also lists an S21e XP Hyd. 3U row with the same 860 TH/s, 11,180 W and $11.17/day estimate. We count that identical-performance profile once rather than letting duplicate specs occupy two spots.

#6 — Bitdeer SEALMINER A4 Pro Hydro: $11.57/Day

Bitdeer’s A4 Pro Hydro combines 680 TH/s, 7,412 W and 10.9 J/TH. Eight-cent electricity costs about $14.23 per day, leaving an estimated $11.57 per day.

The more important story is the A4 generation itself. Bitdeer’s April launch pushed its finished hydro systems close to the single-digit efficiency frontier, continuing the company’s broader SEALMINER manufacturing expansion.

#5 — BITMAIN ANTMINER S23 XP Hyd.: $12.52/Day

The S23 XP Hyd. is the efficiency champion of the group at 8.9 J/TH. It produces 600 TH/s while drawing only 5,340 W, so machine power costs about $10.25 per day at eight cents. The profitability snapshot estimates $12.52 per day.

That makes an important point: the most efficient miner is not automatically the most profitable miner per machine. The S23 XP Hyd. uses power exceptionally well, but larger machines can earn more absolute dollars because they deploy far more hashrate in one chassis.

#4 — MicroBT WhatsMiner M79S: $12.83/Day

The M79S is the outlier that makes this ranking interesting. At 1.35 PH/s, it has enormous per-machine hashrate, but it also draws a huge 20 kW and runs at about 14.8 J/TH. Eight-cent electricity alone is roughly $38.40 per day.

Even with that power bill, its raw output leaves an estimated $12.83 per day. This is why profitability cannot be reduced to J/TH alone: efficiency determines the cost of each hash, while total hashrate determines how much revenue the chassis can produce.

The WhatsMiner M79S is a 1-PH-plus hydro platform built for industrial electrical and cooling infrastructure.

#3 — BITMAIN ANTMINER S23e Hyd. U2H 865T: $16.22/Day

The S23e U2H packs 865 TH/s into 8,650 W at 10 J/TH. At $0.08/kWh, machine electricity is about $16.61 per day and the ranking estimates $16.22 per day in profit.

ASICMining.io currently shows both “S23e Hyd U2H” and “S23e Hyd 2U” rows at exactly 865 TH/s, 8,650 W and $16.22/day. We count that performance profile once.

#2 — Bitdeer SEALMINER A4 Ultra Hydro: $17.55/Day

The A4 Ultra Hydro nearly takes the crown. Bitdeer rates it at 886 TH/s, 8,372.7 W and 9.45 J/TH. At eight-cent power, its machine electricity costs roughly $16.07 per day, while the profitability snapshot estimates $17.55 per day.

The A4 Ultra is a useful bridge between our most-efficient-miners ranking and this profitability ranking. It is both exceptionally efficient and large enough to translate that efficiency into very high absolute daily earnings.

#1 — BITMAIN ANTMINER S23 Hyd. 3U: $22.86/Day

The most profitable distinct Bitcoin miner in this eight-cent snapshot is the ANTMINER S23 Hyd. 3U. It delivers 1.16 PH/s from 11,020 W at 9.5 J/TH. That is about $21.16 per day in machine electricity and an estimated $22.86 per day in profit.

BITMAIN’s S23 Hyd. 3U/U3S23H is rated at 1.16 PH/s and 11.02 kW, making it the highest-profit machine in this $0.08/kWh snapshot.

Its advantage is simple: it combines near-frontier efficiency with more than a petahash of hashrate in one chassis. It is not the lowest-watt machine and it is not the 8.9 J/TH efficiency leader, but it currently produces the largest estimated dollar margin per machine at the assumed rate.

Why $0.08/kWh Changes the List

Eight cents is low enough to keep a wide range of current-generation miners above water, but high enough that efficiency still punishes power-hungry machines. ASICMining.io’s snapshot says 117 of 269 tracked SHA-256 miners are profitable at this rate.

Drop the rate toward $0.04–$0.06/kWh and older or less-efficient fleets gain breathing room. Push it toward $0.10–$0.12/kWh and the list contracts rapidly around the newest hardware. That is why a miner’s true economic specification is not just TH/s or J/TH—it is TH/s × hashprice minus total delivered power cost.

Profitability Is Not ROI

A machine can lead this daily-profit table and still be a poor purchase if the hardware price is too high, shipping is delayed, tariffs add thousands of dollars, cooling infrastructure is expensive or uptime is weak. Hydro units also need pumps, plumbing, heat rejection and facility engineering that are not captured by a simple miner-wall-power number.

The reverse is also true. A lower-ranked machine can be the better investment if it is available cheaply, already installed, easier to repair, or paired with unusually inexpensive power. That is why our nameplate-vs.-facility J/TH explainer matters when translating a spec sheet into a real site.

Bottom Line

At $0.08/kWh on October 10, 2026, the S23 Hyd. 3U sits at the top of this profitability snapshot at $22.86/day, followed by the SEALMINER A4 Ultra Hydro at $17.55/day and the S23e U2H 865T profile at $16.22/day.

The most revealing result may be #4: MicroBT’s 1.35 PH/s M79S earns enough gross revenue to stay near the top despite consuming 20 kW. The ranking shows why Bitcoin-mining economics need three separate questions: How powerful is the machine? How efficient is it? And after your actual electricity price, how many dollars are left?

Editor’s Note
