A Delaware jury delivered a mixed verdict in the latest Qualcomm–Arm licensing fight, finding for Qualcomm on two claims while siding with Arm on four others.
Qualcomm said in its October 13 statement that the jury found Arm breached its Architectural License Agreement and intentionally disrupted Qualcomm’s business. Reuters reported that one interference finding involved Qualcomm’s relationship with Meta. The jury awarded Qualcomm $2 in nominal damages.
CNBC covered the earlier Qualcomm–Arm jury dispute over Qualcomm’s custom CPU licensing.
The hardware community quickly focused on the unusual split verdict and the symbolic $2 award.
Arm framed the result differently. In its own statement, Arm said the jury found for it on four claims and awarded only $1 on each of Qualcomm’s two successful claims. Arm also said the verdict supported its position that it acted in good faith under a separate technology license agreement.

A second discussion highlights why both companies can point to parts of the verdict as wins.
The ruling resolves the jury phase that BitcoinVersus.Tech covered when deliberations deadlocked last week. The broader dispute matters because Qualcomm’s Oryon-based Snapdragon processors compete in markets built heavily around Arm’s instruction-set ecosystem, while Arm itself is pushing newer designs such as Arm C2.
The $2 award makes the immediate financial effect minimal, but the licensing findings could still matter as the companies continue negotiating technology access and royalties.
