TSMC reported a record third-quarter profit on October 15, 2026 as demand for advanced chips continued to accelerate. The company’s official Q3 results show revenue of NT$1.49424 trillion (US$46.72 billion) and net income of NT$763.06 billion. Revenue rose 50.9% year over year, while net income and diluted earnings per share increased 68.7%.
The manufacturing mix also shows how quickly leading-edge production is moving. TSMC said 2-nanometer chips accounted for 8% of quarterly wafer revenue, 3nm for 33%, 5nm for 28% and 7nm for 10%. Combined, 7nm-and-below technologies represented 79% of wafer revenue. That adds important detail to BitcoinVersus.Tech’s earlier report on TSMC’s September revenue surge.
AGTP summarized TSMC’s Q3 earnings, advanced-node mix and AI-demand picture shortly after the results were released.
TSMC guided fourth-quarter revenue to US$52.3 billion–US$54.3 billion, with gross margin expected at 65%–67%. Reuters reported that the result was TSMC’s sixth consecutive record quarterly profit, while also noting management’s more cautious stance heading into 2027.
CNBC International explains how AI demand powered TSMC’s previous record quarter, providing context for the stronger Q3 result.
The numbers reinforce the infrastructure pressure already appearing elsewhere in the chip supply chain. BitcoinVersus.Tech recently covered ASML’s warning that AI demand is outrunning supply and GlobalFoundries’ planned New York fab expansion. TSMC’s quarter does not prove that every AI investment will pay off, but it is strong evidence that demand for advanced foundry capacity remains exceptionally high.
