Olenox Mines 15.03 Bitcoin in September as Daily Output Holds Nearly Steady

Olenox Industries mined approximately 15.03 Bitcoin in September 2026, down from 15.63 BTC in August, even as its average operating hashrate edged higher. The October 21 company disclosure offers a useful lesson in how calendar days, seasonal power curtailments and ASIC clock settings affect production.

Daily Bitcoin Output Was Almost Unchanged

September’s headline production was 3.8% below August, but September had 30 days versus August’s 31. On a per-day basis, Olenox produced about 0.501 BTC in September against 0.504 BTC in August, a decline of only about 0.6%. These are calculated averages, not a guarantee that daily mining was consistent.

The company reported approximately 1.04 EH/s of average operational hashrate in September and 68% uptime. Its August operating report had shown roughly 1.03 EH/s. A small rise in average hashrate therefore coincided with nearly flat normalized daily Bitcoin production; network conditions also affect mining rewards.

Why Miners Were Running Below Full Speed

Olenox said operations included seasonal electrical curtailments designed to reduce transmission charges in 2027. It also reduced clock speeds at its Pyote, Texas, site to protect machines during high summer temperatures. Its summer curtailment period ended September 30, and the company expects normal clock settings to return in November, subject to conditions.

This is a reminder that an ASIC’s nameplate terahashes per second are different from delivered hashrate after thermal controls, power restrictions and uptime. BitcoinVersus.Tech previously examined Olenox’s S21-class fleet under Texas summer conditions.

Expansion Targets Remain Unproven

Olenox has separately proposed moving from roughly 9,700 to 20,000 miners and pursuing electricity near 1.5 cents per kWh. Its October 22 plan makes clear those are targets requiring financing, generators and deployment—not completed September capacity. Our earlier expansion report explores those assumptions.

For scale, Olenox’s 15.03 BTC can be compared with the larger miners’ September results, but their fleets, reporting definitions and business models differ. The central takeaway is operational: less total monthly BTC does not automatically mean a mining fleet ran materially worse.
