Which publicly traded Bitcoin mining companies produced the most BTC? This countdown ranks seven companies by reported bitcoin production during the same April–June 2026 quarter, using the Nonce public-miner comparison. A common quarter matters: combining September monthly figures with earlier quarterly totals would be misleading. Figures are unaudited or company-reported and may vary slightly with subsequent reconciliation.
This measures BTC mined, not market capitalization, company valuation, hash rate, Bitcoin treasury holdings, or mining profitability. We also include October 2026 updates where relevant, clearly separated from the Q2 leaderboard. Each company has one distinct, relevant in-story image.
7. Cango (NYSE: CANG) — 656 BTC in Q2 2026
Cango’s conversion from automotive-finance services into industrial Bitcoin mining is a reminder that a company’s operating history can change quickly. The quarter’s reported 656 BTC puts it seventh among the tracked publicly traded producers. The company has pursued ASIC fleet restructuring and a broader computing-infrastructure strategy. The Q2 output is historical; September production must not be inferred from it.

For comparability, the 656-BTC figure comes from the Q2 2026 public-miner production table; the accompanying photo documents company operations or relevant facilities, not a live output meter.
6. American Bitcoin (NASDAQ: ABTC) — 935 BTC in Q2 2026
American Bitcoin, which operates through its relationship with Hut 8, reported approximately 932 BTC in its own second-quarter results. The comparison dataset rounds or consolidates the period to 935 BTC, a three-bitcoin difference that readers should understand rather than overlook. The company’s April energization of roughly 11,298 ASIC miners added around 3.05 EH/s. Read American Bitcoin’s primary Q2 filing summary.

5. HIVE Digital Technologies (NASDAQ: HIVE) — 1,004 BTC in Q2 2026
HIVE crossed the 1,000-BTC threshold in the selected Q2 2026 reporting period. Its business spans Bitcoin mining and growing GPU-based high-performance computing. These are different revenue and workload streams; the ranking counts mined bitcoin only, not revenue from AI compute. Fleet hashrate and ASIC efficiency matter for the unit economics, but cannot be substituted for actual BTC produced.

4. Riot Platforms (NASDAQ: RIOT) — 1,587 BTC in Q2 2026
Riot’s Q2 total of 1,587 BTC places it fourth in this quarter-based ranking. The company combines large Texas power infrastructure, industrial mining operations and flexible electricity-market participation. Power credits and curtailment may improve economics while reducing hours spent hashing; that is why a simple BTC total does not reveal profitability. Riot’s official mining operations overview shows the physical infrastructure.

3. CleanSpark (NASDAQ: CLSK) — 1,925 BTC in Q2 2026
CleanSpark produced about 1,925 BTC during the selected Q2 reporting period. Its later September update reported 529 BTC for that month and 50 EH/s of operational hashrate at the month-end point, underscoring why a quarterly ranking and a monthly ranking should not be mixed. 2. MARA Holdings (NASDAQ: MARA) — 2,422 BTC in Q2 2026
MARA recorded 2,422 BTC in the Q2 comparison, ranking second behind Bitdeer. MARA has also accumulated a large Bitcoin treasury, but BTC held is not BTC mined: purchases, loans and treasury movements are excluded from this output ranking. The company’s mining, energy and data-center strategy should be evaluated using separately disclosed production, operating hashrate, and costs.

For comparability, the 2,422-BTC figure comes from the Q2 2026 public-miner production table; the accompanying photo documents company operations or relevant facilities, not a live output meter.
1. Bitdeer Technologies Group (NASDAQ: BTDR) — 2,694 BTC in Q2 2026
Bitdeer leads this Q2 comparison with 2,694 BTC. The company designs SEALMINER ASICs, operates self-mining sites, and provides mining and AI infrastructure. Its September 2026 primary report, released October 19, disclosed 1,355 BTC mined during September alone and 82.3 EH/s self-mining hashrate, showing rapid subsequent growth. Read the September company release. Its proprietary fleet and third-party co-mining must be distinguished when interpreting hashrate.

The larger lesson for mining operators is that absolute production rewards scale, but not necessarily electrical efficiency. J/TH, fleet uptime, effective power price, network difficulty and curtailment determine whether that production generates durable margins. September production changes may reorder the companies; this article preserves a consistent Q2 measurement period.
