Arm said on October 13, 2026, that its AGI CPU averaged 1.99× modeled performance per rack against AMD EPYC 9755 across seven agentic-AI workloads. The underlying server measurements were independently tested by Signal65; the rack-level comparison was then modeled from those measured results.
What the tests showed
According to Arm’s October 13 release, modeled rack performance averaged 1.7× for tooling, 2.0× for agentic workflows and orchestration, and 2.2× for reasoning and planning. Arm also reported up to 45% lower sandbox-creation latency against AMD EPYC 9965.
Signal65’s independent analysis says the same benchmark scripts were run on the AGI CPU and AMD systems, with individual modeled rack results ranging from 1.43× to 3.19×. The distinction matters: server performance was measured directly, while rack performance depends on modeled density and power assumptions.
Context
The results extend Arm’s push into production data-center silicon. BitcoinVersus.Tech previously covered Neoverse CSS N4 for agentic AI, IBM’s dual-ISA Arm work, and new competition around AI data-center CPUs.
Arm also introduced a new agentic-CPU evaluation methodology with support from Fujitsu, Meta and OpenAI. The methodology is still new, so broader independent replication will be needed before treating it as an industry-standard benchmark.
