Nvidia is taking stakes in French technology companies Doctolib and Genesis AI, extending the chipmaker’s reach deeper into Europe’s AI ecosystem.
Doctolib said in an October 13 announcement that Nvidia plans a minority investment to support its healthcare AI work. Doctolib says its consultation assistant has already documented more than 12 million patient visits and that it is building additional AI tools for coding, billing, administration and clinical decision support.
Reuters reported that Genesis AI also confirmed Nvidia as a strategic investor. The value and size of the investments were not disclosed. Les Echos separately reported Nvidia had also taken stakes in Entalpic and Pigment, though those companies had not confirmed the report to Reuters at publication time.
The move fits a broader European expansion. BitcoinVersus.Tech recently covered Scaleway’s AMD AI supercomputer in Sweden, Europe’s growing supercomputer manufacturing capacity, and Nvidia’s $1 billion U.S. science pledge.
Why it matters: Nvidia is increasingly investing not just in AI infrastructure, but in companies building industry-specific AI products. Healthcare is becoming one of those strategic layers.
