ABB Robotics says its Fashion Inductor now includes AI Robot Trainer, creating what the company calls its first end-to-end vision-based industrial physical-AI solution. ABB says the upgrade can cut engineering and commissioning effort by up to 75% for fashion-logistics deployments.
The system uses pre-trained fashion-specific vision models, rapid cell-level retraining and a digital twin tied into RobotStudio, Automatic Path Planning and the OmniCore controller. ABB lists throughput of up to 1,300 items per hour per cell and picking-accuracy targets above 99.5%.
The 75% reduction is ABB’s own stated figure, not an independently measured average. Unite.AI’s coverage separately reports the same vendor claim and notes that ABB plans to expand the AI Robot Trainer approach into additional vision-based robotics applications through Q1 2027.
The update fits the broader move from fixed robot programming toward adaptive perception and retraining. BitcoinVersus.Tech has also ranked the top industrial robots of 2026, examined sub-millimeter robot-training data, and covered the engineering behind robot force control.
