Canaan reported mining 44 BTC in September 2026 while holding its average all-in power cost at $0.043/kWh. The company ended the month with 1,875 BTC on its balance sheet.
Non-joint-venture installed hashrate remained at 10.00 EH/s. Canaan’s West Texas joint ventures finished September with 4.87 EH/s installed and 4.18 EH/s operating. Its North American non-JV fleet averaged 17.9 J/TH, while the company’s global non-JV fleet averaged 23.7 J/TH.
September production was unchanged from August’s 44 BTC. Canaan’s August update showed the same $0.043/kWh average power cost, but month-end bitcoin holdings were lower at 1,868 BTC after the company sold digital assets to fund share repurchases.
The latest update also says Canaan’s 8 MW Nordic district-heating project is fully operational, recovering computing heat for roughly 2,800 homes. BitcoinVersus.Tech previously examined that 2,800-home heat-reuse deployment, the efficiency gap that determined which Avalon machines kept hashing through weaker economics, and the broader 2026 ASIC efficiency race.
