Bitaxe Gamma Hex 1300 Targets 10.5 TH/s With Liquid Cooling

The six-chip Bitaxe Gamma Hex 1300 is available for preorder from European hardware seller Bitaxe.de, with shipments advertised to begin November 16, 2026. Its liquid-cooled desktop design is rated at approximately 8.4 TH/s and 150 W at factory settings, or 10.5 TH/s and 200 W when overclocked. Those values are vendor specifications, not independently verified wall-power benchmarks or confirmed production shipments.

Bitaxe devices use Bitcoin SHA-256 application-specific integrated circuits while exposing their board designs and firmware to builders. The Gamma Hex 1300 uses six Bitmain BM1370 ASICs, rather than the single chip in older Gamma models. The Bitaxe organization’s hardware repository publishes KiCad design files under the CERN Open Hardware Licence, including a two-domain arrangement of three chips each and an ESP32-S3 controller.

Six BM1370 chips, two operating points

At the advertised factory point, 150 W divided by 8.4 TH/s equals approximately 17.9 joules per terahash. Raising clocks and core voltage targets 25% more hashrate but requires about 33% more electricity, degrading calculated efficiency to approximately 19.0 J/TH. Neither figure demonstrates independently measured AC input efficiency; voltage conversion, the power supply, fans and water pump can affect wall consumption. BitcoinVersus.Tech has separately explained why nameplate and wall J/TH differ.

For a continuous 30-day month, 150 W equates to 108 kWh while 200 W equates to 144 kWh. At a hypothetical 10 cents per kWh, electricity alone would cost $10.80 or $14.40, respectively, excluding hardware purchases, downtime and cooling beyond device power. Mining income varies with network difficulty, transaction fees, uptime and the Bitcoin price. The higher hash rate does not guarantee a profitable purchase or a solo-mined block.

Liquid cooling adds capability and maintenance checks

The pictured assembly pumps coolant through a chip-mounted cold plate into a radiator, while a separate rear fan cools voltage regulators. The vendor lists an included 12 V Mean Well power supply, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and browser-controlled AxeOS firmware. Buyers should confirm the actual power connector and cable assembly for their specific board revision: the upstream repository describes a six-pin Molex input, whereas the seller lists an XT60 connection for its finished system.

Fluid circulation, fan airflow, power regulation and firmware compatibility become important as several ASICs share a compact board. BitcoinVersus.Tech recently examined the single-chip Gamma 603 cooling upgrade and the dual-chip Naja design. Unlike either machine, the Hex’s headline performance depends on six chips running together.

Open-source firmware, shipping still ahead

The compatible ESP-Miner/AxeOS project enables miners to configure pool endpoints, wallets, clocks and monitoring without a mandatory cloud account. Bitaxe.de identifies AxeOS 2.15.3 as a supported release. BitcoinVersus.Tech previously covered its hardware and safety warnings, plus telemetry checks before overclocking. Firmware must match the exact board; flashing the wrong image risks service interruption.

Other sellers list varying prices and delivery windows, and a preorder is not proof of completed delivery. The open-source board files substantiate the six-chip design; sustained hashrate, wall efficiency, noise, reliability and shipping fulfillment still require independent testing on delivered hardware. The Gamma Hex expands the choices for technically inclined home miners, while remaining a small fraction of Bitcoin’s industrial network hashrate.

Editor’s Note: Board design, six BM1370 chips, controller architecture and open-hardware licensing were checked against bitaxeorg’s Gamma Hex repository. Performance figures, cooling system, included power supply and the November 16, 2026 shipping target are vendor statements from Bitaxe.de’s product listing, cross-checked against another seller’s 8.4 TH/s stock specification. Power-efficiency and 30-day electricity calculations are editorial arithmetic based on those claims, not measured AC wall-power tests. The featured image is an editorial illustration; the three product photos are credited to Bitaxe.de. The Kernow Bitcoin video from May 2026 explains a prior Gamma model and AxeOS, not the Gamma Hex benchmark. Independent delivery, playback and public desktop/mobile checks remain unverified.
