Lokotech says its first Scrypt ASIC and Edge AI silicon wafers have completed fabrication and are moving into packaging and testing.

The milestone moves Lokotech’s mining-chip project from wafer fabrication toward packaging, bring-up and verification. The Scrypt ASIC targets proof-of-work networks including Litecoin and Dogecoin.

The next phase matters because fabricated silicon still has to be packaged and tested before real-world hashrate, efficiency and reliability can be established. Lokotech has discussed aggressive efficiency targets for years, but BitcoinVersus.tech is treating those figures as unverified until working production silicon is independently demonstrated. That distinction is especially important when comparing new hardware with existing Scrypt mining hardware and efficiency coverage.

If testing confirms the design works as intended, the wafers could mark an important new entrant in a Scrypt ASIC market dominated by a small group of mining-hardware manufacturers. For now, the key development is physical silicon reaching the testing stage, not a confirmed performance breakthrough.
