NVIDIA has launched DSX Ready, a qualification program for power and cooling equipment designed to work with its DSX AI Factory reference architecture.

The program begins with two infrastructure categories: battery energy storage systems (BESS) and coolant distribution units (CDUs). NVIDIA says the designation applies to specific qualified products, not a manufacturer’s entire portfolio.

That distinction matters as AI data centers move toward increasingly dense liquid-cooled racks. BESS equipment can help facilities respond to rapid changes in AI power demand, grid disturbances and transitions to backup or onsite generation. CDUs circulate and regulate coolant while maintaining the temperature, pressure and flow required by high-density computing systems.

Initial qualified suppliers include companies across the power-storage and liquid-cooling ecosystem. LG Energy Solution says its AC-coupled BESS qualified with modular 2.5 MW / 5.1 MWh battery blocks, while Vertiv announced qualification of a 2.3 MW liquid-to-liquid CDU. NVIDIA says additional infrastructure and software categories will follow.

The program extends NVIDIA’s influence beyond GPUs and networking into the physical infrastructure surrounding AI compute. According to NVIDIA’s DSX Ready documentation, qualification is intended to reduce integration risk, but it does not replace the engineering required for an individual data-center site or configuration.
