ProLogium and Rimac Move New EV Battery Toward Testing

ProLogium and Rimac Technology have moved their next-generation EV battery collaboration from a design concept toward functional hardware.

In an October 12 update, ProLogium said the companies completed a battery-pack concept mockup for the 2026 Paris Motor Show. Their next step is a functional battery segment that can be used to test thermal management and cell integration before moving toward a full pack and vehicle validation.

EV enthusiasts previously discussed the ProLogium-Rimac partnership and what the technology could mean for future high-performance cars.

The project uses a pouch cell-to-pack architecture built around ProLogium’s lithium-ceramic battery technology and Rimac’s pack-engineering expertise. Independent coverage likewise describes the current milestone as a transition from mockup to functional testing—not a production vehicle launch.

The work fits a broader battery race BitcoinVersus.Tech has been tracking through QuantumScape’s solid-state push, new EV competition at the Paris Motor Show and Honda’s moving wireless-charging tests.

An English-language overview of Rimac’s work with ProLogium and the battery claims surrounding the partnership.

Editor’s Note: The companies have not announced a production vehicle using this pack. The current hardware is part of a staged engineering and validation program.

  3. […] The original Nevera remains one of the defining electric hypercars. Four independent motors provide roughly 1,408 kW, with each wheel receiving its own drive unit and torque-vectoring control. The architecture matters as much as the headline number: Rimac built the battery, inverters, motors and control software as one tightly integrated propulsion system. That engineering base is still evolving, including new battery work covered in Rimac’s next-generation EV battery testing. […]
