Bitcoin Mining: BITMAIN AR30 Shrinks Hydro Deployment to 20 Miners

BITMAIN ANTRACK AR30 47U hydro-cooling cabinet for up to 20 S23e U2H Bitcoin miners, showing 200 kW capacity and facility cooling-loop connections

BITMAIN has pushed hydro-cooled Bitcoin mining into a smaller deployment unit with the ANTRACK AR30, a 47U cabinet designed to hold as many as 20 S23e U2H miners and handle up to 200 kW of computing load.

The manufacturer’s September 22 technical release says the AR30 went on sale September 10 for $16,000 per set and is intended for new small sites, expansions and data-center integrations that already have cooling infrastructure available.

The AR30 changes the unit of expansion: instead of committing first to a multi-megawatt container, an operator can add hydro-cooled capacity one 20-miner cabinet at a time.

Twenty U2H miners fit into one 47U cabinet

BITMAIN rates the AR30 for up to 20 ANTMINER S23e U2H units, 200 kW total capacity and 380–480 V input. The cabinet connects to an existing facility cooling loop rather than bringing its own dry cooler.

That distinction separates it from the AR31, which uses the same 47U modular concept but adds an independent dry cooler and heat-recovery capability. For a site that already has pumps, heat rejection and water distribution, the AR30 is the simpler expansion path.

Hydro deployment is already moving in several directions. BitcoinVersus.tech recently covered a German mining site pairing 2 MW of solar generation with hydro-cooled miners, showing how liquid-cooled ASICs can be integrated with site-specific energy infrastructure.

The cabinet is not a self-contained cooling plant. AR30 is designed to plug into cooling infrastructure the operator already owns.

BITMAIN is selling rack-by-rack hydro expansion

BITMAIN’s own social announcement frames the product as a way to turn available power into Bitcoin capacity without waiting for a full container-scale build. The company’s AR30 post lists the 20-miner capacity, 200 kW rating, 47U format and $16,000 price.

BITMAIN’s September AR30 announcement positions the 47U cabinet as a modular hydro-cooling option for small sites, expansions and data centers.

The concept matters because liquid cooling is no longer confined to one miner design. BitcoinVersus.tech also reported on Auradine’s 600 TH/s hydro-cooled AH3880, illustrating the competition around dense, high-power SHA-256 systems.

Rack-scale modularity gives operators another way to match mining expansion to the power and cooling capacity that is actually available at a site.

The S23e U2H is the load the cabinet was built around

The AR30 is specifically presented around BITMAIN’s 2U-format S23e U2H family. Twenty server-style miners can therefore occupy one cabinet while the facility supplies the external cooling loop and electrical infrastructure.

That makes the cabinet more comparable to data-center rack infrastructure than to the traditional standalone ASIC shelf. BitcoinVersus.tech recently examined how BitSink is taking 220 MW of mining-cooling experience into AI data centers, another sign that mining and conventional compute facilities are borrowing more of the same liquid-cooling architecture.

The physical direction is increasingly familiar to data-center technicians: standardized rack space, higher power density, closed-loop liquid distribution and repeatable modules.

The launch follows BITMAIN’s hydro-focused Hong Kong summit

BITMAIN’s WDMS 2026 program centered its August 27–28 Hong Kong summit on hydro cooling, green energy and computing operations. AR30 and AR31 extend that strategy from the miner itself into the rack and facility layer.

The manufacturer says AR30 and AR31 lower the entry point for S23e U2H deployment to 20 miners per cabinet. That does not eliminate engineering work: operators still need to validate electrical protection, flow, water quality, heat rejection, piping, redundancy and the actual thermal load of their chosen miners.

The important shift is architectural: hydro-cooled Bitcoin mining can now be purchased as a smaller modular rack deployment instead of only as a large container project.
